BELIEVE IN BOOKS ANNOUNCES ITS FIRST AFTER SCHOOL NATURE WRITING SERIES AT THE 100 ACRE WOOD!
White Mountains, NH (September, 2010) – The Believe in Books Literacy Foundation (BIBLF), announces its first educational workshop series with an after school Nature Writing program at the 100 Acre Wood. Explore the four elements of nature and your creative potential through this six-week workshop designed for ages 10-15. We will explore readings inspired by the natural world, discover our physical surroundings, and translate what we learned into our own pieces of writing. At the end of the series, the participants will construct by hand a journal/book that will contain all of their published work. At the final session we will invite family and friends to celebrate while we share our writing!
Sessions will run every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30-5:00 beginning on September 22nd. The first four sessions will consist of selected readings & a writing workshop based on Earth, Air, Water and Fire, respectively. The final two sessions will be for the construction of your journal/book and to share your writing.
The cost for the series is $50 which includes all course materials including a reading packet, writing materials, and book-construction materials.
