First Annual “DRIVE FOR LITERACY” was a Success!
White Mountains, NH (August, 2010) – The Believe in Books Literacy Foundation (BIBLF), hosted their 1st Annual “Drive for Literacy” on Sunday, August 22, 2010 at the Wentworth Golf Club in Jackson Village, NH. The golf outing was a fundraising event for the Children’s Summer Theatre Series performed by the Papermill Theatre and hosted at the Theater in the Wood in Intervale, NH.
While the weather was a little less than desirable, all who participated had a lot of fun. It all came down to the putting in what was a great showing by all teams. The Sweeney Concrete Foundations, Inc. foursome became the first winners of BIBLF’s Annual “Drive for Literacy” followed closely behind by the team from Conway Variety. Following the tournament, all teams gathered for prizes and a raffle, and a delicious buffet of pizza and salad at The Shannon Door Pub.
Believe in Books Literacy Foundation would like to extend a big Thank You to all of those who participated in the event and also to all of our sponsors, volunteers and those who donated prizes for the raffle.
