Due to the crazy wind and cold temperatures, we’ll be meeting inside the office today. When you arrive, just knock on the front door and someone will let you in.

A few things ....
First, about Buckeye
Overall I enjoyed the book. I found the character development to be good enough to get me through some of the slower portions (around the middle). I enjoyed the last part of the book the most, although it felt a tinny bit rushed.
I wish I was able to attend tomorrows discussion, there is so much to talk about ... infidelity, homosexuality, identity, grief, abandonment and ultimately forgiveness.
Second, thank you for sending the info about Spectacular Things. I am reading it now and I plan to go to the event in Tamworth in November. I hope to see some of you ladies there.
Third, my book choice for next month is The Calamity Club, by Kathryn Stockett. Would someone please put that in the mix for me? Thank you in advance.

With the start of our new Book Club, we’re excited to take part in One Book One Valley, our community wide read!
Throughout September and October, we’ll be reading Spectacular Things by Beck Dorey-Stein. Then, on November 1st, we’ll come together at the Pub on Page Hill to discuss the book and meet the author!
This is an additional read for our Book Club, so we’ll still have our regularly scheduled monthly books for September and October.

Just finished A Thousand Boy Kisses! Such an interesting look through the eyes of two teenagers as they experience so many firsts in life. It definitely brought back a lot of memories of how I dealt with things back then.
There’s a LOT of description of emotions, but overall, such a cute read! 💕
