Where can a book take you?
For over 25 years, Believe in Books Literacy Foundation has been visiting schools throughout New Hampshire and western Maine to instill a love of reading in young minds. Through storytelling and new book gifts, our Outreach Reading Program exposes, excites and encourages preschool and kindergarten aged children to live a well-read life.
What We Do:
-
We visit classrooms four times a year in October, January, March, and May with a volunteer reader and a box of new books.
-
After we read an engaging story or two, each student is able to choose their very own book to take home from five title options.
-
We gift over 6,000 books each year to the 1,500+ students we serve.

Where We Go:
-
We visit over 50 schools in 4 different counties:
-
NH Counties: Coos, Caroll, & Grafton
-
ME County: Oxford
-
-
We read in elementary schools, preschools, and Head Start programs.
