Books and Ice Cream

Believe in Books Literacy Foundation is excited to work with Ben & Jerry’s in North Conway for a new summer reading program, Books & Ice Cream, for MWV students ranging from pre-k - 6th grade. Read three books, get one free ice cream! Simple as that. We’re working to encourage reading outside of the classroom, during the summer months. And what better way than with some sweet encouragement?

 

We’ve created bookmarks that act as a log to keep track of reading. After reading three books, a parent or guardian will sign the back, and it’s time to take the bookmark to Ben & Jerry’s for a free ice cream!

 

We distribute the bookmarks to schools around the MWV, as well as having them on hand in our Bookmobile during events.
